The Houston Grand Opera announced its 2013 2014 season recently, however no one really new about it. Although an interesting and inventive season to be sure, with ranking vocal talent to tempt the vocal palette, the HGO characteristically attaches very little weight to Marketing and PR. COMMANDOpera has been obliged to deal with no less than four ‘Marketing Directors’ over that same period of time (4 years), which is an unheard of state of affairs for even the most provincial house.
