SFO I Capuleti e i Montecchi

I Capuleti e i Montecchi will prima on September 29th with the San Francisco Opera for a run of six performances. Miss Joyce di Donato is Romeo, Miss Nicole Cabell is Giulietta, Mr. Samir Pirgu is Tebaldo, Mr. Ao Li is Lorenzo, and Mr. Eric Owens is Capellio. Maestro Riccardo Frizzi is on the podium of this new production from the Bavarian State Opera. COMMANDOpera is greatly impressed with the casting, as all own ranking and known vocal instruments with perhaps the exception of Mr. Ao. COMMANDOpera notes the Albanian tenor Samir Pirgu is considered a must get for important theatres globally, and has already appeared to huge acclaim on the great Italian and German stages. This venue will look into the possibility of an interview with Mr. Pirgu through the auspices of th SFO.
