Romeo Art thou in Dallas?

How is it possible to not love the Dallas Opera? No expense is spared for their publicity stills!

The Dallas Opera will premiere Gounod’s Romeo and Juliet on the evening of February 11 at 7:30 Dallas time for a six day run. This production will be extremely interesting for Dallas audiences given the number of sensational debuts which will take place in this single production. Maestro Marco Zambelli finally makes his debut with this company, one which COMMANDOpera finds the choice of Gounod for this baton to be particularly enlightened. The Lyric tenor vocal instrument of Mr. Charles Castranova will perfectly debut as Romeo, such is the youthful and pristine quality of this instrument. Miss Lyubov Petrova, the Russian Soprano who is in front of everyone’s mind will essay Juliet. Canadian Baritone Joshua Hopkins will debut as Mercutio, while the rawking Romanian Mezzo Soprano Roxana Constantinescu will trouser Stephano. All STAR material everywhere you look. Here is Miss Petrova as Juliet a few years ago, so that readers may be aware of what awaits Dallas opera mavens.
