COMMANDOpera is now releasing the 2010 season. The house will mount six productions, five of which are brand new; three from the Colon, one from the Teatro Municipal Santiago de Chile, and the other from the Scottish Opera. An excellent and unusual variety of styles which is delightful given the size of the season. What is also very estimable is the way the Teatro Colon populates each production, utilizing specialists from every field to create perfection for each work. Read on… and read carefully as this is really an amazing season!

do you have schedule for feb2011 for the 17th or 18thwe will be in bueonos aires on those dates please reply thank you
The theatre has ot released this information publicly, however I can tell you I understand the theatre will be ‘dark’ those evenings.
I’ll be in Buenos Aires on the first week of January and I’d like to know if you already have the schedule for this date. Thank you,
Eliane
The theatre has not made the calendar for 2011 public at this time.
When will 2011 schedule be announced? Does it appear the theatre will be “dark” all of February 2011? What about March 14th, 2011?
Thank-you.

The 2011 season is under wraps. No, the theatre will not be entirely dark as there are concerts scheduled. COMMANDOpera will not release details of future seasons of any house without express approval from the theatre.
We will be in Buenos Aires Nov. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 2010. Will there be any performances on those dates? English translations?
Thank you for your response.
On the evening of November 11, there will be a concert featuring a violin concerto by Tchaikovsky. The link can be found here.
We will be in Buenos Aires from October 4 through October 10. Will there be any performances at Teatro Colon?
Bobbie,
Check the link to the Teatro Colon on the right side of the venue under ‘Links’. You will find all you need to know directly from the theatre.
Six of us will be in Buenos Aires the evenings of February 8 and 9 and then 4 of us the evenings of February 12 and 13. When will information be available on what performances are taking place on those evenings?
John
For a country of such international position with its reputation for being the “Paris of Argentina” this situation at its only classical/opera venue is really appalling. It is December 2010. No 2011 schedule to be published? Seriously? It seems from the articles on this site that we, the ticket purchasers, are at the mercy of the egotistical whims of a cabinet minster. Contracting the caliber of performer, crews and casts for these shows takes place way, way ahead. Even in the slower pace of the Latin world….So, que pasa???
The lack of information on obtaining tickets for Teatro Colon performances. is frustrating and annoying and is a very poor introduction for tourists planning to visit Argentina. I have not had trouble booking in advance in many other countries. What is wrong in Argentina? Gary
Argentina owns a significant left of center mentality which at times collides with what other demographics take for granted. Given the current aggravated situation at the Colon between the unions and management, basic dealings with the theatre has only become more untenable as of late.
We will be in Buenos Aires from January 25 through January 31. Will there be any performances at Teatro Colon?
We are in BA 2nd January till 5th Jan and then 11th until 14th. Are there any performances on any of those evenings?
I do hope so!
Cheers, hannah x
do you have the 2011 schedule will be in buenos aires feb16 to 19th pleae reply muchas gracias
Please, can you tell me if the Teatro Colon will have a performance February 13 or 14, 2011?
Thank you
