Tomorrow night which is Saturday January 23rd, The Opera Lyric of Chicago will be broadcasting the opening night prima of their run of Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore. The direct link to the Lyric Opera’s broadcast calendar is found here. Not only is this broadcast available to local audiences, but if you click here the Lyric Opera has seen to it that you may LIVE stream the broadcast anywhere on the globe. Nice. I mean Giuseppe Filianoti as Nemorino? Not to mention Miss Nicole Cabell as Adina. Seriously a performance you want in on. So much so that if I manage to complete my 2 hour workout, conduct an interview with stupendous Mexican tenor Javier Camarena who is singing Elvino in Paris then input and publish the article, get a haircut so I look decent standing next to American tenor Bryan Hymel after he debuts as Don Jose in Toronto on Wednesday evening, publish another article on a small but cool theatre, and last but not least (and the real deal breaker), cancel my participation for dinner at a 5 star establishment, then COMMANDOpera will listen to and review the performance live, building yet another article for your perusal. Did I mention it was Saturday?
