COMMANDOpera has been considering a profile on home girl Measha Bruegggergosman for some time. In researching for this article, I found this picture on the website of her management team and the first thought which came to my mind unequivocally; THIS is how it is done!  If you were looking to create an atmospheric presence representitive of a top tier soprano, Miss von Tiedemann has thrown down the gauntlet here.

Miss Brueggergosman is a soprano with a vocal instrument that enchants. It is simply impossible to listen to this artists voice and not feel transported to another dimension. Miss Brueggergosman never forces a single note, while she entrances you with perfect legato throughout. This is an artist who is most confident in her technique. Miss Brueggergosman has received honorary degrees from St. Thomas University of New Brunswick and Acadia University in Nova Scotia and was awarded the Grand Prize at the 2002 Jeunesses Musicales Montreal International Competition. She also has been a prizewinner at The Dutch International Vocal Competition ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Wigmore Hall in London, George London Foundation in New York, The Queen Sonja International Music Competition in Oslo, and the ARD Music Competition in Munich. Miss Brueggergosman is a recipient of the prestigious Canada Council and Chalmers Performing Arts Grants. She studied at the University of Toronto with Mary Morrison and pursued postgraduate studies in Germany with Edith Wiens. Here is Miss Brueggergosman;

Miss Brueggergosman is a woman not constricted to the art of playing Diva. She is endlessly involved in good works, and is an artist that certainly believes in giving back. The presence of Miss Brueggergosman at any fundraiser all but guarantee’s significant cash flow to the respective recipient. COMMANDOpera would like to see Miss Brueggergosman take to the stage with regularity in full out productions. Currently however her calendar is full with recitals around the globe, do not expect this in the near future. Here is Miss Brueggergosman  giving singularly rivetting operatic fare in concert which makes the case for her to do MORE on the opera stage;

The soprano naturally has a unique website which suits her style and personality rather nicely… found here.
